EBSCOhost has added a new Visual Search feature to its databases. EBSCOhost Visual Search is easy to use. Visual Search allows you to search efficiently across broad subjects, and then returns a visual map of results, organized by topic.
If you would like to explore this new way of searching, access Academic Search Premier - one of the EBSCO databases - using your library barcode and PIN number, from the Pierce Library home page. (Look for Find Journal / Newspaper Articles and link to By Database Subject or Name. Academic Search Premier is the first database in the alphabetical list).
After you have accessed the database, look for the blue VISUAL SEARCH tab at the top of the page. Click on it, and you will see "New to Visual Search? Take our tour" in the green bar at top right of the Visual Search information. (You will find additional Visual Search guidelines by clicking on the Help link at top right of the EBSCO search page).

Does your cat know something you don't? It looks to me like she's trying to draw your attention to the new video tutorials on the Pierce Library web site. Look for the tutorial announcement in the news section, or click on any of the tutorial icons that you find. (There's one following the Services for Off Campus Students link).
Sharon Porter, manager of the ERC at Pierce, created the tutorials. We welcome your feedback and suggestions for others that would be helpful to you. (Click on the 'comments' link below).
