NEW Card Lock Main Entry Library Doors

To better manage access and increase safety and security in Pierce Library, we have installed card locks on the building's main entry doors. These new systems are in place now and work the same as the card swipe locks that are installed at the Quinn Fitness Center.

Effective Monday, March 4, anyone wishing to access Pierce Library after 7 pm will need to use their current EOU student, faculty or staff identification card to open the doors. ID cards will not be required to enter the library during normal public hours from 7:30 am to 7 pm. Read more.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Karen Clay, Library Director, at 541-962-3792.

February 14 Colloquium & Coffee Lounge Grand Opening

Professors, Programmers and Anarchists: We all Market!

Presented by: Shari Carpenter, Ph.D., and Mark Platts, M.B.A. College of Business

Thursday, February 14, 4:00 pm, Ackerman Hall, room 210
Free and open to the public - refreshments will be served

In today's knowledge based society, if you choose to not be aware that you are in a state of constant marketing of yourself, you may be constantly missing opportunities to affect others in a positive way. In this colloquium, we present evidence to underscore the power of marketing as a positive tool to provide information. Through a better understanding of marketing we can collectively harness marketing's power to better inform societal choices. Choose to join us; you'll be glad you did!

A Library resource list is available for those who wish to do further research on this topic. Link to all colloquia resources beneath 'Find Materials' on the Library home page.
